Acer released a series of high-powered new gaming laptops under the Nitro brand. These new laptops have the most recent 13th Generation Intel® Core Chipsets and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. The new 16-inch and 17-inch Acer Nitro laptops are crafted for casual gamers who want better gameplay, more features, and a more immersive experience. They are smaller, thinner, and lighter, and the screen-to-body ratio is higher. The Nitro’s solid build and powerful performance take users to a new level of gaming, whether they’re looking through the ever-growing list of games or making montages of gameplay videos.
The latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs are powered by the super-efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, which gives a quantum leap in both performance and AI-powered graphics. Ray tracing lets gamers experience virtual worlds that look and feel real, while DLSS 3 and Reflex give them an edge in competition.
Acer Nitro 16
The Nitro 16 (AN16-51) gaming laptop has a 16-inch WUXGA or WQXGA display, which is 5 percent larger than the previous generation. This is the smaller of the two sizes. The screen also has a high refresh rate of 165Hz and works with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, which makes it easy to switch between the integrated and discrete graphics cards. The new Nitro 16 is a gaming laptop, so it has a 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard and supports 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut.
Acer Nitro 17
Of the two new gaming laptops, the Nitro 17 is the one with the higher price tag. As the name suggests, it has a 17.3-inch screen that is taller and has more options for how to display objects. This includes an FHD display with a refresh rate of either 144Hz or 165Hz or a QHD display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. This model also has a big touchpad and an 81 percent screen-to-body ratio. Additionally, this gaming laptop comes equipped with a four-zone RGB backlit keyboard.
The new Windows 11-based Acer Nitro laptops come with up to 32 GB of DDR5 4800 MHz memory and up to 2 TB of M.2 PCIe Gen 4 storage, so gamers can save more games, movies, and streaming videos. Both laptops also come with one month of either Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass, which gives gamers access to hundreds of popular PC games.
These Nitro laptops have dual fans, four fan outlets on the sides and back, an air intake at the top, and liquid metal thermal grease to help keep them cool during long periods of intense gaming. Users are able to monitor the temperatures of their systems, alter the fan speed and power performance settings, and keep the hardware running as cool as possible thanks to the NitroSense software that is pre-installed on each of laptops and the dedicated NitroSense key that is also included in the package.
Each model comes with Killer DoubleShot Pro and is enabled for Killer Wi-Fi 6 1650i to give you more bandwidth. These laptops have an HD camera, two microphones, and two speakers with DTS:X® Ultra audio so that players can fully immerse themselves in lush soundscapes while playing or streaming. The new Nitro gaming laptops have an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, two ThunderboltTM 4 ports that support Power Delivery, and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one of which can be used for offline charging.
