In less than two months, another line-up of Apple models should storm the global mobile phone market as the American Company; Apple is preparing to unveil another set of iPhone models following the release of the iPhone SE 2022.
As usual, the iPhone 14 is expected to come in four versions which are iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. We will look at all you need to know about the iPhone 14 and 14 Max in this article.
Possible Release Date
It is believed that the release of the iPhone 14 series should follow the traditional release date of new iPhone models especially, big names like the iPhone 14. The release is expected to take place during the second week of September and probably on a Tuesday (September 13).
However, with the release of the iPhone SE (2022) earlier this year and from reports suggesting that the Covid-19 affected the development of one of the coming iPhone models which we are yet to verify the exact one, it is possible the company delays the release of the iPhone 14.
Ceteris paribus, the following schedule should be followed by Apple during the release of the iPhone 14 models:
- Announcement Date- September 13
- Pre-order begin- September 16
- Public sales begin – September 23
Most reports suggest that the price of the iPhone 14 would likely fall close to the iPhone 13 Pro Max and then the iPhone 14 Max would come for about $100 higher. The current price of an iPhone 13 Pro Max is around $850 hence, the iPhone 14 should cost around that or a maximum of $900 while the 14 Max will cost about a thousand bucks.
The iPhone 14 models should in many ways surpass the iPhone 13 models although it will be quite similar to the 13 Pro Max. However, research shows that, unlike the 13 models, the base model of the iPhone 14 (which remains unknown since we do not know if a mini version will be released) is likely to include a 64 GB memory space.
The 14 and 14 Max are expected to take a similar design to the 13 models while the 14 Pro and Pro Max might pave way for the hole-punch design that is believed will be used in the 2023 generation iPhones. All the models are expected to be water-resistant and dust-proof like the 13 models and would offer a 6GB RAM and a 5G network.
No upgrade in the A15 processor is expected although it almost certain that both models will run on the new IOS 16 interface. Their screen will be larger than that of the iPhone 13 as it might be up to 6.7 inches and no 5.7 inches model would be made available.
Early rumours also suggest that both Face ID and Touch ID will be featured on the phones; but recent reports debunk this information and only Face ID is expected to be featured.
