Reportedly, Apple will shake things up in its iPhone line with various eye-catching design improvements when it releases the iPhone 16 Pro, according to Applehub. And now, the launch of 16 Pro flagship models will coincide with the transition to a possibly game-changing design. This development is quite exciting.
Since the release of the iPhone X in 2017, Apple has only introduced the notch on its premium smartphones. However, a well-known leaker by the name of Applehub noted that the iPhone 16 Pro would have under-display Face ID and a single cutout for the front-facing camera next year.
The company intends to make the next significant improvement to the design of the iPhone 16 Pro instead of the Dynamic Island on models of the iPhone 14 Pro.
What to expect with the iPhone 16 Pro
Manufacturers have widely utilized the notch and punch-hole design for housing cameras and smartphone sensors for a considerable amount of time. On the other hand, although the under-screen sensor and camera technology development is still in its early stages, several manufacturers, such as Samsung, have already begun implementing this system. We are aware that the majority of companies have the intention of implementing this technology into their phones as quickly as possible.
It’s possible that Apple will start adopting this design technique on its own phones very soon. The Face ID sensor of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max models would allegedly be concealed under the screen by Apple in line with the claims. It is noted, however, that the camera will continue to be accessible in the same way as it is on other Android phones for some time. As a result, some generations of the iPhone might have their screens have only a little cutout for the camera.
On the other hand, Apple’s long-term objective is to fully eliminate the notch for the camera and the Face ID sensor. It has been speculated that the perforated camera design on the screen, which is anticipated to be included in the iPhone 16 Pro versions, will serve as a transitional step.
In its Galaxy Fold 4 model, Samsung has already used its under-screen camera technology. Having said that, it is important to point out that the camera can be seen through the screen, and the quality of the photos taken is not as good as one would want. On the other hand, Apple most likely won’t begin implementing this technology until it has more time to mature and become perfected.
