A Chinese regulatory database has revealed the battery capacity of the Apple iPhone 14 lineup.
With the exception of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the battery capacity of the iPhone 14 models are larger than those of the iPhone 13 models. Below is a summary of their respective battery capacities:
|iPhone 13 mini||2,406mAh|
|iPhone 13 Pro||3,095mAh|
|iPhone 13 Pro Max||4,352mAh|
|iPhone 14 Plus||4,325mAh|
|iPhone 14 Pro||3,200mAh|
|iPhone 14 Pro Max||4,323mAh|
Apple claims that each of the four iPhone 14 models has “all-day battery life.” iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max models provide up to an hour greater battery life for offline video viewing compared to the same iPhone 13 models, as per Apple’s website. However, the iPhone 14 Plus does not have a comparable model.
Apple claims that the iPhone 14 Plus has the longest battery life of any iPhone due to its larger 6.7-inch display size and the absence of some Pro model capabilities. Apple’s technical specifications reveal that the iPhone 14 Pro Max still has the longest battery life for video playing, most likely due to the ProMotion display’s ability to reduce the refresh rate to conserve power.
Apple introduced all four iPhone 14 variants last week, and they have been available for pre-order since September 9. The devices are scheduled to ship on September 16, excluding the iPhone 14 Plus, which will be available beginning on October 7.
