Huawei has unveiled the Mate 40 series and today we are going to discuss the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, which the company considers as the standard model. To be honest, Huawei phones aren’t easy to recommend these days and it is all due to the absence of Google Play services.
Gone are the days where Huawei devices such as the P30 Pro and Mate 20 Pro were one of the tops recommended Android phones globally. But still, that doesn’t stop some consumers from purchasing Huawei’s devices because the company has found many solutions like the creation of the App gallery which serves as Play Store. Other than the absence of Google Play services, the Mate 40 Pro takes out all the bars as a great flagship device by featuring a HUGE curved screen, appealing design, amazing stereo speakers, powerful chipset on the Android Market, and a Leica-branded camera setup. In this latest flagship, Huawei also presents the world’s fastest wired and wireless charging, as well as a large storage space.
With no specific date of lifting the Google date, Huawei still manages to maintain its phones and I think Huawei is trying to be independent of Google. It will be great for the company if that is possible.

For potential buyers sitting on the fence waiting to see what happens with Huawei smartphones, it’s actually challenging as there’s no specific date for the removal of the ban. Honestly, the lack of Google is the only downside I see in this device.
Other than that, the Mate 40 Pro, reveals just how determined Huawei can be on its future without depending on Google. With its photography, performance capabilities, and overall design, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro maintains the highest standards of flagship devices.
