Huawei released three flagship devices named Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+ 5G. In this article, we’ll be reviewing Huawei P40 and its price in Nigeria.
Since the ban on Huawei by Donald Trump from using any of Google services, Huawei didn’t stop in releasing its flagship devices. In fact, this ban made Huawei create her own very app store and utilizing Qwant as its default search engine platform.
Regardless, Huawei’s P40 phones still have some hope in the smartphone market. Huawei’s hardware packaging this year is unique enough for you to be lured away from Google services.
Almost all flagships from Huawei have a distinctive design but this year’s Huawei’s P series looks like the Galaxy S20 series, at least in the back. The shape and placement of the camera modules are almost the same.
Also, Huawei’s changed the front camera configuration, putting the front dual-sensor cameras on top of the phones into a punch-hole. This also includes an infrared sensor that can be used as face unlock. If this is not your preferred method of authentication, Huawei claims to have rendered the under-screen fingerprint scanner which is bigger and faster.
Huawei P40 features the three basic colors: Ice White, Black, Deep Sea Blue. The Silver Frost and Blush Gold variants are also included in the P40 Pro and Pro+.
The device runs on the latest Android 10 based on EMUI 10.1 UI. Huawei P40 comes with a new voice assistant feature named “Celia”. Celia can assist you in making calls, playing music, replying to messages and checking the weather.
The Huawei P40 is IP53 (rated) resistant to water and dust, but the P40 Pro and Pro Plus are IP68 (rated) resistant to water and dust.

Conclusion
There’s one thing that Huawei P40 lacks – Google Services. Without Google services, most popular apps won’t work and this makes it a big gamble to buy it unless you can cope with Huawei’s AppGallery as it is still unpopular. Apart from the Google services situation, P40 is actually a device made for photography.
