Quick review
The Infinix Note 8i has four cameras on the back and these consist of a 48 MP f/1.8 wide lens and three 2MP f/2.4 lenses of which two are depth sensors. Selfies are taken care of by a 16MP lens that is housed within a tiny punch-hole. The camera specs seem nice on paper but one thing you should know is that not having an ultra-wide lens, to be honest, is not a big deal. But it is a disappointment to feature four cameras on the back, and then to not include it.
There is one thing I notice, most consumers that purchase budget or mid-range devices are not after the latest and greatest chipset and it is understandable. So, at this price point, Infinix’s decision to use a Mediatek Helio G80 (12 nm) chipset is not a bad move. The chipset is not lacking, however, it is not the best choice for you if mobile gaming and heavy multitasking are your priority. Joining it, there is 6 GB RAM and 128 GB expandable storage.
A large 5000mAh battery is included in the device, which makes a real difference in everyday usage. The device supports 18W fast charging via type-c USB which will charge from 0-100% in 1hour30minutes and can last for the whole day.
Infinix Note 8i comes with the latest XOS v7.1 based on the Android 10 operating system. XOS comes with some good features, including Live Transcribe and Game Mode. These features add value to the overall XOS. Also, the Dual Speakers support DTS that gives your ears an immersive musical experience.

Verdict
This year, the budget market is indeed filled with lots of devices, and Infinix appears very eager to ensure that its product here is continuously refreshing. The Infinix Note 8i seems to be a very appealing choice at first glance, although the slightly high price point might drive consumers towards devices with more features at a similar price or even a cheaper option.
