Infinix Smart 5 Pro is the bigger variant of Smart 5 that was released last year. Smart-series that is made specifically to fulfill consumers that are after long-lasting batteries and don’t wanna spend more than N50,000.
On its Smart series, Infinix has worked on adding consumer-pleasing features like a big display and decent build quality over the last few years. The early versions, on the other hand, lacked the processing capability to compete with the market’s top models. In 2021, Infinix announced the Infinix Smart 5 Pro with some slight upgrades.
The Infinix Smart 5 Pro is already getting positive reviews than the Smart 5, with the phone witnessing increase in first-week sales over its predecessor. This isn’t unexpected, given that the new model is a significant improvement over its predecessor and is priced similarly.
So let’s take a deeper look at the phone and its features in this Infinix Smart 5 Pro review and see if it is worth it to buy one for basic day-to-day activities.
Infinix Smart 5 Pro: Design & Display
The Infinix Smart 5 Pro comes with a solid design and a 6.52-inch HD+ screen. It also has a very simple body that is primarily made of plastic. With a dew notch display and a ~269-pixel density, content on its IPS LCD screen was often a bit inaccurate than we would have expected. It was also inconsistent in various lighting conditions and viewing angles. However, it served its purpose and, in the end, was a decent value for the money.
Despite the fact that the Infinix Smart 5 Pro is not a spectacular gadget, it nevertheless manages to look clean and modern. The backside, and especially the camera island, have a decent design.
Around the lenses on the camera island, Infinix has managed to create a realistic appearance of depth and extra size. From afar, you may believe there’s something spectacular here, like a powerful gyroscopic stabilization system or something like.
The rear panel itself has a solid feel to it. In fact, the entire gadget has a great and substantial feel to it. Infinix appears to be making good use of the full 164.4 x 75.6 x 9.5 mm exterior. The Infinix Smart 5 Pro is not a light phone, weighing in at 209 grams, but it feels nicely balanced, perhaps due to its enormous size.
Infinix Smart 5 Pro: Camera
The phone sports a 13MP AI-Enhanced dual camera. It offers modes for ‘bokeh mode,’ ‘pro,’ ‘panorama,’ ‘beauty,’ ‘AI Camera,’ and ‘AR mode with filters’ to enhance the camera. The images quality isn’t very good at 13MP, but with capabilities like modifying the ratio, adding color filters, and adjusting size and resolution, the Spark Go’s camera offers a lot for the money.
The beauty option sharpened images and made facial details more clear, and if a user can bear somewhat more grain, then using this mode more often than the default ‘AI camera’ to take photos won’t be a bad idea.
In terms of the selfie camera, the phone features an 8MP sensor with fully developed facial algorithms and a flash LED.
Performance & Battery
Just like in the non-Pro variant, the Smart 5 Pro runs a low-budget processor, which is a mess and an old processor. The SoC comprises eight Cortex-A55 cores which are divided into two clusters, tuned at 1.6GHz and 1.2GHz, respectively. It comes with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM that can be expanded using a micro-sd card.
According to Infinix, on a single charge, the 6,000mAh battery will comfortably last you all day. As usual, the device supports 10W. The device comes with an Android 11 Go edition.

Infinix Smart 5 Pro Price in Nigeria & Availability
The price of Infinix Smart 5 Pro starts from N50,000. The phone will be available in Morandi Green, Heart of Ocean. It is already available for sale at Infinix retail stores across Nigeria
As I clearly stated above, the Infinix Smart 5 Pro has a number of distinct advantages. It sports a simple design and a huge battery will last long enough for most users.
The device’s chipset is one of the major question marks, but after using it for some days, I’ve observed that the performance is good enough for basic activities like messaging, phone calls, browsing the net, and watching videos. Overall, it won’t meet up your expectation if you are not patient. Gaming has been slow, however, the operating Software has been fluid and responsive, thanks to Android 10 go which has been fluid and responsive.
In terms of cameras, the Infinix Smart 5 Pro is terrible for most of your demands. Almost worthless. Despite its poor resolution, the 13MP main camera, on the other hand, will not disappoint if you are not after photography.
