Shipping dates for the new M2 MacBook Air fell from a week to between July 18 and July 25, 2022, within minutes of Apple allowing pre-orders, and things are just becoming worse. The MacBook Air has drawn the most interest of the two new M2-based Macs revealed at WWDC 2022, and it now seems to have earned the most pre-orders. The stock M2 MacBook Air now ordered won’t arrive before Monday, July 18, 2022, even though it was initially supposed to ship by Friday, July 15, 2022.
It will take longer to ship if you include any customisation options, such extra SSD storage or pre-installed software. Apple forecasts that the top-of-the-line M2 MacBook Air will ship between August 2 and August 9, 2022, although orders can still be placed today.
Although there are some strange occurrences, such as different configurations initially listed as unavailable, Apple’s 2022 MacBook Air with the M2 chip and another Mac notebook, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, are both available for pre-order on June 17, 2022. However, they don’t seem to be experiencing the same shipping delays as other products Apple has recently launched. The 13-inch MacBook Pro, even with the latest M2 processor, is viewed as only a small improvement over the previous model, which accounts for the gap. Since the new M2 MacBook Air has undergone a thorough overhaul, it is now more well-liked.
The MacBook Air is the best value in Apple’s new lineup because it features the same M2 CP, fresh design, and a little bigger screen but costs much less.
Along with MagSafe, screen borders, and a 1080p webcam, the new M2 MacBook Air offers more connectors than the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Starting prices are $1199.
