The overall sales of HMD Global may be a small number when compared to brands such as Xiaomi or Realme, but through a series of solid cheap devices that offer a cleaner user experience and long-term updates, it has managed to survive and maintain its Nokia-branded smartphones. The Nokia 3.4 is the latest low-cost phone offered by HMD Global and it is well-built for a really reasonable price that brings some decent features. The Nokia 3.4 price in Nigeria starts at N70,000.
Nokia 3.4 comes with a triple camera setup which consists of a 13MP ultrawide sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. Strictly speaking, for photography, you only get to use two out of the three lenses because the last one is only for sensing depth.
There is a HUGE 6.39-inch LCD screen with a small punch hole. The screen has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels, 269ppi pixel density, and 400 nits typical brightness which is quite enough for outdoor use.
The device is powered by Snapdragon 460 (11 nm), it is an entry-level level octa-core processor coupled with a 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage which can be expanded via a Sdcard. It’s a budget phone so expect less from its performance.
The wonderful aspect of Nokia devices, in general, is that its UI is very simple and clean. It uses Android 10 which is upgradable to Android 11.
It packs a 4,000mAh battery inside and comes with a standard 10W adapter to charge. There is no support for fast charging. So you have no choice but to keep the phone attached to the cable for a longer time. Lack of fast charging speed is certainly going to be a problem for some people.

Verdict
When you consider all the features and prices, you will notice that Nokia 3.4 isn’t really that cheap. Seeing the camera and performance specs on paper, it is just not as fantastic as you would expect it considering the price. It is just disappointing.
Apart from that, you will get an optimized software with upgrades, a large screen for watching videos or playing games, and optimized battery life. I’ve used Nokia before and its UI is just simple and clean. If you’re coming from another product like Xiaomi you would just feel the difference.
