Quick review

With four lenses on the back, the OnePlus 8T has a robust camera array that can perform well in a variety of aspects. There is a 48MP(f/1.7) main camera, which supports both optical and electronic image stabilization. There’s also an ultra-wide lens of 16MP(f/2.2), a 5MP(f/2.4) macro shooter, and a 2MP(f/2.4) depth sensor. Unfortunately, there’s no telephoto lens. And as for the front-facing camera, it is a 16MP (f/2.4) wide lens that takes care of the selfies.
Outstanding displays have been provided by OnePlus in all of its recent phones, and the OnePlus 8T continues the tradition. The Oneplus 8T features a 6.55-inch fluid AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080, 402 PPI density, HDR10+. Most particularly, it boasts an amazingly-smooth refresh rate of 120Hz. The display is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for extra protection.
The OnePlus 8T is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865(7nm+) chipset. This is one of the most powerful processors around and it is a gaming-centered processor used by many flagships. The device comes in either 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage or 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage.
The OnePlus 8T has a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support, and we all know that one of the awesome things of OnePlus phones is support for fast charging and beefing up the Warp Charge speed from 30W to 65W has greatly enhanced the charging technology of OnePlus 8T. In 35 minutes, the OnePlus 8T can now charge from 0% to 55% battery power.
There is no IP68 rating for water and dust resistance here, something that is seen on many flagship phones.
Out of the box, the phone runs Android 11 OS with the company’s OxygenOS 11 UI skin, as seen on all OnePlus phones, giving the device a distinctive look.

Verdict
For the OnePlus 8T, the new style, Snapdragon 865, 65W Warp charge, OxygenOS 11, and 120Hz refresh rates are important selling points. But I don’t consider it a big improvement over the OnePlus 8 or Oneplus 7T. It just doesn’t make a big difference if you own a OnePlus 8.
Also, the OnePlus 8T is not that cheap when you compare it with some devices of similar specs despite the fact that the company has reduced the price.
