As expected, the Oppo Reno 9 Pro+ has been released in China. The device has been made official alongside its siblings, the Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro. While the Snapdragon 778G and Dimensity 8100 chipsets power the Reno 9 and 9 Pro, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset powers the Reno 9 Pro+. Specifications and features of the Oppo Reno 9 Pro+
The OPPO Reno 9 Pro+ features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, with 2160 2160Hz Ultra high frequenc PWM dimming. The top of the screen has a punch-hole in the center and curving borders. The Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro both have the same screen.
The Reno 9 sports a 32-megapixel (Sony IMX709) selfie camera with autofocus on the front. The device’s back panel houses a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS (Sony IMX890). It has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel monochrome lens, and an LED flash. The Reno 9 Pro+ also includes a MariSilicon chip for brighter and clearer images in low-light situations. The device can record 4K video at 60 frames per second.
The Reno 9 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 Chipset, which runs at 2.99GHz. It is slower than the processor’s typical speed of 3.19GHz. The SoC is combined with up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The Pro+ is powered by a 4,700mAh battery that supports cable charging at 80W and wireless charging at 50W.
The Reno 9 Pro+ ships with Android 13 preinstalled, which is skinned with ColorOS 13. Other features include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, an IR blaster, twin stereo speakers, and a USB-C connector.
Price and availability of the OPPO Reno 9 Pro+
The Reno 9 Pro+ is now available in two variants in China. The 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant costs 3,999 Yuan ($559), while the 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage edition costs $4,399 Yuan ($615). It is available in three colors: gold, green, and black. The smartphone will be sold for the first time in China on December 2.
