Realme released another entry-level device in Indonesia named Realme C15 and its price starts from IDR 1,999,000, which is roughly N55,000.
Just a month after its predecessor “Realme C11” was launched into the same price range. When it comes to the naming of devices, I don’t actually understand how Realme does it and I did a little research about it, still no info. So let’s just forget about how the naming is done because it is a bit strange and distinct from its predecessor.
The Realme C15 brings to the table the latest MediaTek Helio G35 CPU, quad camera, and a 6000mAh power battery.

Display & Design

Just like its immediate predecessor, the screen is very wide on the Realme C15. It’s a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a 720X1560 pixel resolution and an 81.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The screen also has a waterdrop notch for the single selfie camera Thanks to the pixel density of 250 PPI and 420cd/m2 Max Brightness. Widevine L1 is not enabled and you won’t be able to access video in high resolution on streaming platforms like Amazon and Netflix.
Right from the design, the Realme C15 can be mistaken for a premium handset. Like its immediate predecessor, Realme C15 comes with a square-shaped bump that houses the cameras. The square bump appears identical to the ones we saw on Google Pixel 4 and iPhone 11.
A power button and volume buttons are located on the right side of the handset, whilst the bottom contains the headphone socket, micro-USB port, and a speaker grille. The left side has two nano-SIM cards and a microSD card with a triple card tray.
Unlike in Realme C11, Realme decided to add a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and I think they realize its importance to many consumers.

Camera

The Realme C15 comes with a good quad camera configuration on the back and It consists of 13 MP (f/2.2) main lens, an 8 MP (f/2.3) ultra-wide lens with 119˚ field of view, a 2 MP (f/2.4) B&W Lens, and another 2 MP (f/2.4) Retro Lens.
Aside from the HDR and Portrait modes, this entry-level handset comes with slow-mo, Chroma Boost, Ultra-wide Mode, Beauty, Filter, Time-lapse, Slo-mo, Super NightScape, and Expert Mode capabilities.
There’s an 8 MP (f/2.0) AI Selfie Camera sensor on the front and it comes with variety of features such as AI beauty, Portrait Mode, filters, HDR, Panoramic View, and Timelapse.
The Realme C15 will definitely deliver some nice shots at its price-point.
Performance & Battery

Realme actually used the same MediaTek Helio G35 chipset that is found in Realme C11. Although the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC is a fresh processor but it is not even close to being powerful as the Helio G70 chipset which is found on the Realme C3. For a device that is supposed to be a sequel to the Realme C11, the Realme C15 doesn’t really fit in in terms of performance.
Technically, the Helio G35 is essentially the same as Helio P35. The only difference is that MediaTek added hyper engine technology to Helio G35. MediaTek’s HyperEngine technology is basically built to optimize the resources available for more sustained performance, particularly during gaming. You see, no much difference, right?
Although the Helio G35 is a member of the gaming series of MediaTek, it is not the strongest gaming processor in the lineup. This means graphics on Realme C15 would be basic and would not show you anything in-depth
As for the storage, the Realme C15 is available in two variants: 3 GB / 64 GB RAM and 4 GB / 128 GB.
The 6,000mAh battery is one of Realme C15’s selling points and on regular usage, it can comfortably last for two days. There’s a regular 18W adapter that can recharge the battery from 0 to 100 percent for 1.5 hr.
The fact that it comes with a special OTG reverse charge is another highlight of this device. This OTG reverse charge allows the device to serve as a power bank and thereby charging other devices.

Realme C15 Price in Nigeria & Availability
It is not clear whether Realme will release this smartphone in the African region. Nonetheless, most counties in Africa are one of its major markets, we expect it to launch the Realme C15 in this region.
It is already on sale in Indonesian online retail stores. It will be available in Nigeria probably in the next couple of months or may not even be released here. We estimate the Realme C15 price in Nigeria to start from N65,000.
Conclusion
The Realme C series has been available for many budget-centric customers over the last few years. We saw the Realme C1, C2, and C3. So now, we starting off the half of 2020 with Realme C11 and C15 which brings a quad-camera setup to the entry-levels.
The Realme C15 is for those who only want a smartphone with a long-lasting battery, a large screen for watching videos, and a camera that is above average. With regard to games, don’t consider the MediaTek Helio G35 to do very well in games such as PUBG Mobile. Most of t these games that demand much from the chipset can be played, but it won’t provide you a silky experience.
