Samsung Galaxy A12 price in Nigeria, details, and full specs

4 days ago, two new devices, namely Galaxy A12 and the Galaxy A02s, were unveiled by Samsung under its Galaxy A-series. The Samsung Galaxy A12 is a sequel to the Galaxy A11 that was released some months ago. We do not yet have all the specifications but we know that the devices are going to be released in 2021. Nonetheless, let’s take a look at the specs that we have for the Galaxy A12.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 got some improvements as it comes with a 5000mAh battery that is larger than its predecessor. Apart from that, there is a major upgrade on the camera department which adds a 48MP wide lens and 2MP macro lens on top of the 5MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP depth sensor from the A11.

Just like what most typical budget phones offer, the Galaxy A12 also comes with a unibody design and this means that it does not have a frame separating the front from the backsides.

You may have noted the absence of a rear fingerprint reader. That’s because Samsung placed it on the right side of the phone.

The square-shaped quad-camera system on the back consists of a 48MP wide lens (f/2.0 aperture), a 5MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, the selfie camera features an 8MP wide lens.

The 6.5-inch TFT screen on the Galaxy A20 serves up 720 x 1560 pixels resolution with ~264 PPI density.

The Galaxy A12 has an octa-core processor under the hood that consists of CPU cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz. Samsung did not mention what chipset it was but from its configuration, it seems to be Helio P35 SoC.

Depending on the version you go for, the phone ships with 3GB, 4GB, or 6GB of RAM. There is 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of internal storage for the respective RAM storage, which is certainly a little strange but the good thing is that you can expand the internal storage via an sd card.

The 5000mAh battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy A20 seems right in line with what you would expect from a budget phone. With moderate usage, the phone will last a full day and you will still be left with enough battery to last half of the next day.

The phone supports fast charging of 15-watts. Wonderful battery life. This phone has a lot to give if a long-lasting battery is one of your ma;in goals.

On the software front, Samsung has not disclosed what Android version the Galaxy A12 will be getting.
