Samsung has released its latest flagship device at its recent Galaxy Unpacked Hardware event that took place in Brooklyn, New York City. We finally have all the information (Including price in Nigeria) on the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 10, which is a successor to the Galaxy Note 9 that was released last year.
The series comprises 4 phones which are; Galaxy Note10, Note10+, Note10 5G and, Note10+ 5G.
For the Note series this year, there are two models: the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus. I’m going to look at the smaller Note 10 here, with the Galaxy Note 10 Plus acting as a real successor to the Galaxy Note 9.
Samsung constructed the Galaxy Note brand to deliver the finest big screen devices around, but the best thing about the new Galaxy Note 10 is how small it is with a very perfect body.
Due to its virtually bezel-free Infinity-O display (Inherited from Samsung Galaxy S10), the 6.3-inch Note 10 is one of the most compact big-screen phones yet — and some attributes Samsung left on the cutting room ground. Note 10 also features several S-Pen upgrades which include gestures, design, and battery.
There are a lot of changes in the new Galaxy Note 10. You’re not going to see a 3.5mm headphone jack (Replaced by Type -C instead), and the microSD card slot is also gone.
Fortunately, there’s not too much distinction between the two phones, but when you bring these fresh devices side by side with the already great Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, there’s also not that much distinction.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10: Design & Display
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 features an AMOLED 6.3-inch display with a dual-curved side (Similar to Galaxy s10). Like in Galaxy S10, there’s an Infinity-O display, but this time around it is found in the center at the top edge of the display with the camera inserted in the display’s extremely small O-shaped cut-out so as to thin the bezels and provide the maximum quantity of screen. This Infinity-O cut-out allowed Samsung to achieve a tremendous screen-to-body ratio of 93.2%.
Yes, the 3.5mm jack for the headphone is gone. In order to obtain a slimmer design, Samsung ditched the 3.5mm jack on the Galaxy Note 10 as well as the MicroSD slot. You will, therefore, need to be conscious of these trade-offs.
One thing about the Note 10 display is that it is smaller when compared with last year’s Note 9 (6.4-in). So this is a remarkable downgrade from Note 9 to Note 10 when it comes to displaying size. Note 10 packs a Dynamic AMOLED screen that’s 2280x 1080 pixels, which is full HD+.
A fingerprint scanner is available on the screen that unlocks the device within 0.20 sec by simply touching the screen.
Galaxy Note 10: Camera
The Note 10 comes with 4 cameras. 3 rear camera setup that includes the Ultrawide (16MP f/2.2 aperture ), wide-angle (12MP with a variable aperture f1.5 mode/f2.4 mode), Telephoto (12MP with an f/2.1 aperture), and a single selfie camera (10MP f/2.2 aperture).
Samsung’s bokeh video is where the Galaxy Note 10 stands out. The phone features a Live Focus video mode that allows you to blur the background. They’ve also improved the video-editing app, you can now edit your videos like an award winner thanks to the precision of S Pen.
The primary cameras, as well as the telephoto camera, have optical image stabilization just like the one seen in Galaxy S10. There are a few AR added to the camera and you can use the Air Gestures of the S Pen to zoom in and snap a pic without touching the screen.
A depth vision camera is only available on Galaxy Note 10+. So this means that the Note 10+ has 4 rear cameras. The Depth vision camera offers more Bokeh effect and has the ability to accurately separate a subject from its surroundings.
Samsung Note 10 Intelligent S Pen
In the Note 10, Samsung has added amazing gesture effects that can enable you to click, navigate a presentation, play or pause a video, flick right or left in the gallery app to move to the next or previous photo, snap pictures, and switch between selfie and main cameras by moving the S Pen in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction.
Another impressive feature about the S Pen is that you can easily transform your handwriting in a note to a text by merely tapping the region and pressing an on-screen button. You can also export it and share it readily to a Microsoft Word doc.
Apart from that, the battery life (Up to 10hrs) of the S Pen has improved greatly when compared with Note 9 S Pen.
Performance & Battery
Depending on your location, Galaxy Note 10 will be driven by the Exynos 9825 in the UK and other regions like Asia. If you’re in the US, you’re going to have the Snapdragon 855. Similarly, the device has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 512 GB of inner space.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 operates with OneUI operating system on Android 9.0 (Pie) and it is fueled with a 3,500mAh Li-Ion battery. The phone comes with a 25W charger that enables you to charge your Note 10 from 0 – 100% within an hour’s time.
Apart from the conventional quick charging, there’s a 15W wireless charging and wireless power share.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is built for seamless desktop experience
