Recent reports claim that Samsung is prepared to unveil some of its latest products which will include the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Flip 4 excluding Galaxy S22 FE to the digital market in the next few days. Afterwards, the brand will shift its focus to its next line of products (the Galaxy S23 series) and the updates we got confirmed that the company has started developing the 2023 flagships.
According to these credible sources, the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ will both feature a telephoto camera as seen in their predecessors. These cameras will come with a resolution of about 10MP and an optical zoom of 3x in a similar fashion to ones will expect to see also in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Furthermore, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with a 10x magnification periscope having a clear resolution of 10MP. Most sources do not expect any significant improvement when it comes to the image quality. However, it is rumoured that Samsung may improve the camera quality and include a much bigger sensor to give the S23 series a high image processing capability.
Since Samsung has been using cameras with 10MP 3x module for quite long, we expect this to remain the same; hence, there is no update on the second telephoto camera. Moreover, many Samsung users are willing to experience the same sensor for the second telephoto camera. This will fully clarified when the dummies are released.
Overall, the only significant upgrade on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra that we know for now will be with the main (rear) camera features. This is expected to be a major upgrade to about 200MP main rear camera, owing to the fact that other Ultra-type Variants have a lower feature as 108MP. Therefore, you can expect features similar to the S22 series to be utilized in the S23 also.
The Samsung S23 Ultra is projected to hit the market during the early months of 2023. However, since the Samsung Galaxy S23 is set to be released after a few months, it would be a good thing to digest these rumours before the initial release.
