Tecno has announced the release of new smartphones. After launching the Spark Go 2020 some days, three smartphones dubbed Tecno Camon 16 Premier, Camon 16, and Camon 16 Pro have been released by the firm.
Undoubtedly, the new Camon Series has some big upgrades and we all know how Tecno phones (Esp Camon series) are very prominent among Nigerians who purchase them because they offer decent performance and quality cameras for an affordable price.

All of the Camon 16 series have four cameras on the back and two on the front. So, Tecno Camon 16 Premier features a 64 MP(f/1.9) Sony IMX686 sensor which is supported by an 8 MP (f/2.3) ultra-wide-angle sensor with 119˚FOV and 1.12µm pixel size. The other two 2 MP (f/2.4) sensors assist with night images and portraits. One of the two sensors is actually a depth control sensor with 88.9˚FOV and a pixel size of 1.75µm.
The Camon 16 Premier comes with a tall 6.9 “full HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 ratio, 374 PPI pixel density, and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.7 percent. The screen features a refresh rate of 90Hz and a pill-shaped punch hole for the dual selfie cameras – 48 MP main sensor and 8 MP ultrawide sensor.
The Tecno Camon 16 Premier is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6785 Helio G90T (12nm) processor, which is an upper mainstream ARM SoC and it is equipt with 2x big ARM Cortex-A76 cores with up to 2.05 GHz and 6x small and power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores (max. 2 GHz) in two clusters. Helio G90T is actually a gaming processor and it is way powerful than Snapdragon 730G but less efficient. The processor is coupled to an 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB ROM which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
The Tecno Camon 16 Premier comes with a 4,500 mAh battery which the company claims can last for a day without any heavy use. The smartphone supports 33W flash charging and Tecno claimed that it can charge your Camon from 0-70% in 30mins.
Lastly, Camon 16 Premier runs on HiOS 7.0, which is based on Android 10.
