The Megabook T1 is the first laptop ever released by TECNO. The global consumer brand TECNO is entering the laptop market after finding success in the smartphone market. The Megabook T1 was launched by the firm yesterday at the IFA 2022 in Berlin. The newest component of TECNO’s AIoT ecosystem is created to meet the changing needs of Generation Z. As a result, the laptop has a thin, sturdy form factor, a chic appearance, and a wide range of color options.
Tecno Megabook T1 Design
Megabook T1 has what the manufacturer refers to as the Startrail Phantom, a dual-tone finish with several glossy strips going across. Aluminum metal was used to create the body, giving it a luxurious appearance and shiny polish. The ultra-compact and light laptop weighs 1.4 kg and is just 14.8 mm thick, making it slimmer than most 15-inch laptops on the market.

Intel Core i5 -1157G powers the Megabook T1 computer. You can, however, also select an updated Intel Core i7 processor. There are two memory configurations available for the laptop: 8GB RAM + 512GB SSD storage and 16GB RAM + 1TB SSD storage. The laptop has a gigantic 70Wh battery that allows it to run continuously for up to 17 hours. It also has a 65W GaN charger that is 400 times faster and 100 times lighter than standard laptop chargers. As a result, you can transport your Megabook T1 with ease for work, school, and travel without worrying about its mass or battery life.
The Megabook T1 has a 15.6-inch IPS Full HD display with 100% sRGB, 350 nits of brightness, and DC adaptive dimming. It also has TUV eye comfort certification. This entails that you receive a fluid display that offers you an excellent visual experience, correct color reproduction, and image projection while shielding your eyes from potentially hazardous blue light and retinal damage.
The Megabook T1 incorporates the locally created TECNO VOC sound system, which blends AI technology with Tecno audio lab and DTS immersive sound, to improve your audio experience. Users can experience better audio quality while watching movies and listening to music by utilizing the self-developed VOC technology. Additionally equipped with two mics that are AI and ENC-capable, the laptop can effortlessly access priority noises and suppress background noise up to 5 meters away.
The Megabook T1 has nine connectivity hubs for external device transmission and runs the most recent version of Windows 11. A 2MP HP camera with privacy shade, a power button with a fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth v5.0, TECNO Link for wireless transmission to tech phones, a backlit keyboard, and more are other intriguing features.
The suggested retail price will start from N270,000. There will be three memory options available here: 8GB/512GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. The SRP for the 12GB/512GB model is therefore unavailable. Whatever, we will find out in a few days.
The third quarter of 2022 is when the Megabook T1 is scheduled to go on sale.
