Recently, at a conference hosted by Counterpoint Research, Tecno introduced their Eagle Eye Lens photography technology for smartphones. This cutting-edge innovation is promoted as the first of its kind: a telephoto lens for a periscope that employs two prisms to enhance the clarity of the image. The company claims that the technology can automatically adjust the prisms to track changing targets and maintain focus thanks to optical image stabilization (OIS) and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. Tecno’s latest camera innovation won’t be seen until 2023 gadgets hit the market. The Chinese company Transsion Holdings has also teased the release of its Phantom X2 range of premium smartphones. In the first week of December, the MediaTek 4nm Dimensity 9000 chip-powered next model will be introduced in Dubai.
Eagle Eye Lenses are made up of two prisms, each of which may rotate independently by 8 degrees on one axis and 10 degrees on the other. With the help of the two prisms, the camera can automatically follow an object by up to 16 degrees along one axis and 20 degrees along the other. The Eagle Eye Lens features optical image stabilization that can correct motion blur by as much as 6 degrees. Optical Image Stabilization and Automatic Image Tracking are Powered by AI (AI).
The Tecno Eagle Eye Lens can improve the quality of both still images and moving videos. Tecno claims its cameras can keep up with high-speed action during races and other thrilling events. By 2023, the Eagle Eye Lens will have made its debut on Tecno and other smartphones. Details on the first smartphone from Tecno which include the Eagle Eye Lens have not yet been made public. The Eagle Eye Lens, which is amazing for photography, will be a game-changer when implemented in an actual smartphone.
