Vivo launched the Vivo X60 5G in China, which is the successor to X50 that was launched 6 months ago. The latest Vivo X60 packs some enhanced features over the Vivo X50, like new powerful Zeiss optics cameras. A second-generation gimbal-like Optical Image Stabilization. The Vivo X60 5G price in Nigeria is estimated to range from N300,000 to N350,000.
The Vivo X60 is a phone that is above midrange phone but on the lower end of a flagship phone, however, it has most of the niceties of an appealing flagship. You get a silky display, 5G connectivity, decent camera, a strong battery, and fast charging, all starting at around $535.
Even though it could be the first time you’ve set your eyes on a flagship-like Vivo phone, Vivo is a quite successful global brand and it is part of BBK electronics (A big Chinese electronic company), which also includes Oppo and OnePlus under its umbrella. Vivo has released a range of budget phones in Nigeria over the past years, but the latest X60 fully transforms the game. From its premium glass body and lovely OLED screen to its solid processor that supports 5G networking and highly advanced camera system. Bottom line, it’s a quality mid-range phone thoroughly. Quick review

Just like its successor, the Vivo X60 is crafted very well indeed. It looks premium. And again, just like its successor, Vivo chose a flat display with thin bezels all over thereby giving it the appearance of an edge-to-edge display.
The device comes with a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2376 pixels, 398PPI pixel density, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a sampling rate of 240Hz. The Vivo X60 display is rated for HDR10+ capabilities, which enables you to watch HDR videos on YouTube, Netflix, and so on.
An outstanding 48 MP (f/1.8) micro-pan head main camera with 0.8µm pixels, 4-axis OIS anti-shake, closed-loop motor, and PDAF. The main lens is supplemented by a 13 MP (f/2.5) portrait lens with 0.8µm pixels, 2x optical zoom, and PDAF. The other lens is a 13 MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens with 120° super large viewing angle, wide angle of 108° when distortion correction is enabled. As for the selfies, we have a 32 MP (f/2.5), 26mm wide lens that is embedded within the tiny punch-hole.
The X50 Pro runs on Samsung’s latest Exynos 1080 5G (5nm), which is one of the best performers so far and a driver for upcoming mid-range and flagship devices. It features one Cortex-A78 CPU core clocked at 2.8GHz, three Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2GHz. It uses ARM’s Mali-G78 GPU with 10 cores. So, it will provide plenty of power for all today’s heavy games.
The robust quota of 8/12 GB RAM is also sufficient for any multitasking. Also noticed is the availability of 256 GB of internal storage, as usual, however, there is no Sd card slot for expansion.
Since the Vivo X60 has a huge screen with a 120Hz display, it definitely requires a huge battery. The device is equipped with a huge 4300mAh battery which Vivo claims to last for at least one day. Similarly, the device comes with the latest OriginOS user interface that runs on the Android 11 operating system.
As usual, the device supports 33W fast charging and according to Vivo, It will take less than an hour for the included 33W charger to juice the device from 0-100%.

Verdict
The Vivo X60 is a stunning-looking device that establishes a strong balance between power and all that appeals to an end-user. It really isn’t intended for someone who cares about every bit of specs because there are compromises on the cameras as there is no telephoto lens, also not everyone likes Vivo’s UI as it is filled with bloatware despite all its optimization. Instead, what makes the phone stand out is the elegant build, the second-generation gimbal camera, and the latest Exynos processor.
