Vivo 1 - Vivo Y1s price, details, and full specs

Vivo Y1s price, details, and full specs

Vivo has launched phones to appeal to a wide variety of customers across various price segments. Under the Y series, it has launched a range of phones, and now the newest phone in the series is the Vivo Y1s. Vivo Y1s was quietly launched in India and now we have all the details and price.

To be honest, the product portfolio of Vivo seems very confounding to me, but the company is still working hard to retain and establish a name for itself in an increasingly flooded market. I said the product portfolio is the company “confounding” because the latest Vivo Y1s is obviously similar to Vivo Y91i (India) with little enhancements.

Sometimes you dont need all the latest or best hardware and software on the phone to enjoy it. Vivo Y1s doesn’t pack capable hardware but will definitely handle all the basics. Besides, we know how hard it is to spend thousands of Naira on a phone, this is why we’ve been long-running supporters of budget phones.

Quick Review

maxresdefault - Vivo Y1s price, details, and full specs

There is a 13 MP(f/2.2) main camera with an LED flash on the back of the Vivo Y1s. The phone has a front camera with 5 MP (f/1.8) AI for selfies.

Vivo Y1s comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ display with 720×1520 pixels pixels resolution, 270PPI pixel density, a 19:5:9 aspect ratio, and a dot drop notch.

the Vivo Y1s is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 (12nm) chipset. This may not be a powerful processor around but the consumers buying such devices don’t care about performance or multitasking as far as the device can handle all the basics. The device comes with 2GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which is expandable with up to 256GB of external storage.

The 4030mAh battery capacity of the Vivo Y1s seems right in line with what you would expect from a budget phone. With light usage, the phone will last a full day and you will still be left with enough battery to last half of the next day.

Out of the box, the phone runs Android 11 OS with the company’s Funtouch OS UI skin, as seen on all Vivo phones, giving the device a clean look.

Verdict

No mention about its release date to other parts of the world but we are hoping to see the Vivo Y1s enter the Nigeria’s budget smartphone segment. It comes as a successor to the Vivo Y1 with minor hardware upgrades. The device is filled with basic hardware.

In our review above, we may not have depicted a very positive description of Vivo, however, this does not mean that Vivo has not sold many of its devices in Nigeria. If you are looking for a cheap device with all the basics, then there’s definitely nothing wrong with the Vivo Y1s.
