According to an announcement made by the company on Thursday, WhatsApp will soon provide proxy support for its users located all over the world. Because of this feature, users will be able to continue using WhatsApp even if their connection is temporarily disrupted or blocked.
By using a proxy, users are able to connect to WhatsApp through servers that have been set up all around the world by individuals and groups that are dedicated to assisting people in freely communicating with one another. WhatsApp claims that using a proxy connection preserves the same level of privacy and security as using the app itself and that end-to-end encryption will continue to safeguard users’ personal messages even when using a proxy connection. According to the business, the messages will not be viewable by any third party in the middle, including the proxy servers, WhatsApp, or Meta.
