As with OnePlus and Hasselblad and Vivo with Zeiss earlier this year, Xiaomi and Leica established a collaboration at the beginning of this year. The Xiaomi 12S series, which the brand revealed would be the first phones included in the deal and has now been released in China.

The Xiaomi 12S standard model, 12S Pro, and 12S Ultra make up the Xiaomi 12S line. All three phones use Leica imaging profiles in addition to Summicron lenses for less glare and better light transmission.

The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, for which Qualcomm previously claimed 30 percent greater efficiency and 10 percent higher CPU and GPU performance, also powers all three phones.
