Poco has launched the latest smartphone in India named Xiaomi Poco M2, basically, it is the same as Redmi 9 Prime with only more RAM. This means that Poco M2 is directly competing with Redmi 9 Prime in the budget market.
Poco is growing rapidly, far faster than what customers would have anticipated and this is due to the affordabity of thier devices.
The device features a quad-camera setup which comprises of a 13 MP (f2.2) primary sensor, an 8 MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor with 118 ° wide-angle field-of-view, a 5 MP (f/2.4) macro sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth of field sensor. There is an 8MP selfie camera upfront.
Xiaomi Poco M2 comes with an LCD screen measuring 6.53-inches and offers an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with a pixel density of 395 PPI and a refresh rate of 60Hz.
The phone uses the same MediaTek Helio G80 processor that is found in Redmi 9 Prime but with some variations in overall performance. Firstly, the Poco M2 base variant comes with 6 GB RAM, while the Redmi 9 Prime has a single 4 GB RAM option. The game-centered processor helps users to play games and multitask more efficiently due to increased RAM storage.
There is a massive 5,000-mAh battery within the device that can provide all-day use. There is also an 18-watt charger that can fully charge the device in just 1hr 30mins.
The phone comes with MIUI 11 which based on Android 10 with MIUI 12 scheduled to arrive for an upgrade in the future. The phone comes in new color choices, different from the Redmi 9 Prime. Customers can purchase the Poco M2 color choices in Pitch Black, Slate Blue, and Brick Red.
