Xiaomi has launched another phone to its Redmi 9 series named Redmi 9i. Xiaomi Redmi 9i is a budget phone and it features 4 GB of RAM for just N45,000. Redmi 9i is the fourth device in the Redmi 9 series.
These short term releases that Xiaomi is doing is really confusing and makes it difficult for consumers to decide which of the series is best for them. We can’t blame you if you are actually finding it difficult to choose from the Redmi 9 series devices released in the past months. Now that Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9i in India, you should keep in mind that the major selling point is the RAM because of most devices under this price pack 3GB or 2GB RAM.
A Waterdrop notch cut out on top for the 8 MP selfie camera is featured on the Xiaomi Redmi 9i. The device features a 6.53-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of 269PPI. The Redmi 9i flaunts a single 13 MP (f/2.2) on the back with an LED flash.
The device is operated by a MediaTek Helio G25 processor and has 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a micro SD.
A massive 5,000mAh Li-Po battery fuels the Xiaomi Redmi 9i and supports 10W proprietary charging. It is estimated that the battery can provide a day of power when moderately used.
The Redmi 9i misses the fingerprint scanner but offers a Face Unlock option. This may not be a good security choice, especially for those who want a fingerprint scanner. and hence such consumers won’t be impressed.
Experience an easy and smooth user interface as this smartphone runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 10.

Xiaomi Redmi 9i price in Nigeria & availability
Besides some of its drawbacks like the processor, quality display, and camera, there are some positive reasons to consider the Redmi 9i. However, if you’re searching for a budget phone under N45,000 with 4GB RAM then the Redmi 9i is one of the best options.
One thing I noticed about Xiaomi is that its budget and mid-range have flooded the market and this is due to the fact that Xiaomi mostly offers cheaper phones to seed customers from other competitive companies.
For the base model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, Redmi 9i starts at Rs. 8,299 ~ N45,000. It also comes with 128 GB of internal storage, and it is priced at Rs. 9,299 ~N50,000. Redmi 9i comes in three color options including Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green.
